It is an exciting and sad time for us at Walton Methodist as we have said goodbye to Rev David Hinchcliffe as he takes up his new post in Guernsey.  David had been at Walton for 5 years.  His challenge to us to make the church welcoming to all will remain a fundamental operating principal of the church. We wish him well as he takes charge of the Channel Island District.

Our new minister is the Rev Mike Deacon.
Mike transfers from Swindon where he was the Minister of Central Church and Butterworth St Methodist Church.  Originally coming from a background in science, industry and engineering research, He is keen to see our faith journeys engage with the real world.  And now, as a minister, I encourage the Church to meet and help people where they are.

Mikes welcome service is on the 3rd September 2010 at 7:30pm
